A strategic recruitment initiative
The Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Diversity Faculty Awards (DDFA) program is a recruitment initiative designed to increase the number of faculty members from historically underrepresented groups. The program was introduced in 2011 in partnership with the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Faculty Association and augmented through collective bargaining. Â
The program supports and encourages diversity in faculty hiring by paying up to half of a faculty salary for three to five years from the Academic Initiatives Fund.
To date, Âé¶¹´«Ã½ has welcomed 21 new faculty members through the DDFA initiative:
