Description

The federal Tri-Agencies (Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council and the Social Sciences and the Humanities Research Council) and their provincial counterparts are dedicated to the creation of new knowledge for the benefit of all Canadians. These agencies support master鈥檚 students through the聽.

CGS-M scholarships are currently reviewed and awarded through 麻豆传媒, with awards issued each year to applicants who, as of December 31 of the year of the competition, have not completed more than 12 months of full-time academic study in their master鈥檚 program.

CGS-M award results are announced in early April by the Tri-agency.聽

Eligibility criteria

  • You must be a Canadian citizen or a聽permanent resident of Canada.聽
  • You must聽be enrolled in, have applied for or will apply for full-time admission to an eligible graduate聽program.
  • As of聽December 31聽of the year you are applying for the scholarship, you must have completed between聽zero and 12 months聽of full-time studies in your graduate program.

Indigenous Scholars Awards and Supplements

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) have launched a pilot funding initiative to further support Indigenous students pursuing master鈥檚 level studies.
