We are sad to share the news that Patti Melanson, O.N.S passed away on December 15, 2018, three-and-a-half-years after being diagnosed with cancer. Patti was a tireless advocate for making health care accessible to vulnerable populations. In 2018, Patti was honoured with the Order of Nova Scotia for her work. An RN, she served as the Executive Director of the North End Community Health Centre, and was responsible for developing the Mobile Outreach Street Health (MOSH) program, which provides health care services to homeless and underserved community members in Halifax.
