According to 麻豆传媒鈥檚 International Travel Policy, all students who are participate in university activities that involve travel outside of Canada must have travel insurance through the 麻豆传媒 Student Union (DSU). This insurance is called聽, a DSU-administered international health and travel insurance plan that is purchased separately from their other in-country insurance plans. Backpack provides comprehensive, worldwide travel and medical coverage, trip interruption and trip cancellation coverage, 24/7 assistance, and crisis response services. Backpack covers multiple 麻豆传媒-related trips taken within a one-year period. Coverage is good for one year and includes multiple trips if travelling for university purposes.

It is mandatory to provide the International Centre with proof of Backpack insurance coverage before your international travel begins. For more information about other pre-departure steps and requirements, visit the Before You Go page on the International Centre website.

To purchase Backpack, follow the steps below:

1. Go to聽
2. Login to your Student VIP account, or register one if you do not have an account.
3. Click on "Buy Now" at bottom right hand side of screen
4. Purchase insurance with your credit card
